At 9:30 am on Thursday and at 8:00 am on Friday and Saturday, final call announcements will be made requesting that participants begin to make their way to the staging areas at the park where the guides will check them in, give some final instructions and begin the rides at 10:00 am on Thursday and 8:30 am on Friday and Saturday.
Please note that rides with 5 or fewer registered participants may be cancelled or combined with other rides. The Jamboree will make every effort to notify you of which rides have been combined with other rides or cancelled
Things to Note:
All trails/roads used by the Jamboree are understood to be two-way. Even on narrow trails, you may meet someone coming on an ATV/UTV from the opposite direction. Watch carefully for oncoming traffic on all roads and trails. Remember the Three K's - Kind, Kourteous & Kareful.
The Jamboree rides will provide direct contact with the elements and place physical demands on both participants and machines. Those with medical conditions or certain other physical limitations should carefully consider those demands. Each participant must be responsible for his/her own health and well-being along the trail. We will never be more than a few hours from the nearest town, but medical assistance is not always available in smaller towns. If you have particular medical or physical limitations, but decide to go anyway, please make your guide aware of your condition.
We emphasize that the ATV trails are not intended for high speed riding but rather for conservative, safe riding. It is necessary that all participants stay with the group, remaining behind the front guide at all times, for the safety and peace of mind of the entire group. ATVs/UTVs must be in good mechanical conditions, tuned up and properly jetted for high altitude endurance rides.
Also, please note that unless otherwise stated in the ride description, you will need to provide your own lunch while on the ride.
Ride Difficulty Definitions:
Beginner: These rides are almost wholly on dirt roads in the Paiute system. Some of the beginner rides may include short moderately steep sections or switchbacks. Intermediate: Intermediate rides generally include some road and ATV trail portions with some steep, rough or challenging trails. A ride may also be intermediate in nature due to its length. Advanced: Advanced rides will generally include portions that are steep, rough, and otherwise difficult to maneuver. In some cases, rides are listed as advanced because of the length of the ride.

Ride descriptions
#02 - Fremont / Kimberly
This full day, 50 mile ride will begin at the Marysvale City Park. The ride will begin by going up Beaver Creek (#02) to the intersection of the main #01 trail. Then through majestic pine forests to Silver King Mine. After a quick stop at the Silver King Mine, you'll then continue on Trail 01 to pick up trail #13 through the old Kimberly Ghost Town and down Mill Creek Canyon. The route will follow trail #15 across Fish Creek and Shingle Creek to the old Cove Fort Highway and to the Fremont Indian State Park. After a visit to the fabulous exhibits and Indian Rock Art, we return by way of #13 back to Deer Creek (#74) past Hoover’s back to Marysvale by way of trails #22, 24 & 02. Due to the steepness, narrowness, and numerous stream crossings which tend to challenge riders, this ride has been rated as "Intermediate." This ride allows for 30 machines.
#03 - Monroe Mountain
This full day ride leaves from Marysvale City Park. The ride will take you north on #02 to Trail 24 and over the hills to Poverty Flats, continuing north to Monroe. From Monroe we will go up Monroe Main Canyon (#78) past Hunts Lake to Monroe Peak at 12,000 Feet. Heading south we will come to beautiful Manning Meadow Reservoir on #01 for a lunch stop. After a leisurely lunch we will continue south to #02 and will descend Dry Creek to Marysvale past Dry Creek Falls. The trails are easy and wide but the length will make this an "Intermediate" ride. The Monroe Mountain ride allows for 30 machines. The ride is approximately 65 miles.
#04 - Adelaide Rendezvous
Leaving from Marysvale City Park, this full day mile 95 -100 mile ride and will take you up Deer Creek (#74) to the main #01. Then continuing past Silver King Mine to the Kimberly Ghost Town mining district on #13. We will follow #13 to the intersection with #15, then west under I70 and north to #06. From there we are just a few miles from lunch at the beautiful Adelaide campground located in Corn Creek Canyon, just east of Kanosh. We will rendezvous for a lunch break at the campground where we may be visited by wild turkeys. From there home by way #06, a short distance on #01 and #10 to Joseph. Then across fields to Monroe, south from Monroe on #24 to #02 to Marysvale. The trail is a bit challenging in places with some steepness and small stream crossings. Crossing the south end of the Pahvant range will afford photographers some great views to the south and west and hopefully some wildlife. Bring your camera, and extra gasoline. This ride is rated as "Advanced" because of the length of the ride. The ride allows for 30 machines.
#05 - Otter Creek
This ride is offered and will begin at Marysvale City Park. First leg is down the #77 trail to trail #35 then picking up the Marysvale’s Loop (#02) south to #25. We will follow #25 South to the intersection of #01. East and North past Kingston Troughs on #01 will bring us to Pole Canyon (#72). #72 will bring all the way to Otter Creek State Park, Otter Creek Reservoir and Otter Creek Marina. Lunch will be at the Marina or at the State Park picnic area. This ride is about 80 miles. With any luck, we might see Deer and Elk along the trial. Continuing south, we travel the Pipeline trail then north on the #01 and over Langdon Mountain. The ride continues to the intersection of #02 and then down Dry Creek with a break at the Dry Creek Falls then down the switchbacks to the valley floor and back to Marysvale. Words underestimate this spectacular ride as it traverses the valley floor the foothills and then over the summits. This ride is for “Intermediate” riders and allows up to 30 machines. Approximately 50 miles.
#07 - Iron Mountain and the Maze
This ride leaves from the Marysvale City Park. The ride begins by going across the Sevier River and the North. The ride stops at the base of Iron Mountain where the more adventurous can take the switchbacks to the top of the peak. Attentive riders may see some surface crystals left over after the crystal mine was bulldozed and the area reclaimed. From there, we will attempt to familiarize riders with some of the trails in the maze - roads go in all directions, left over from uranium exploration and mining operations. Because of its lower elevation, this ride is perfect for days when inclement weather make the higher country uncomfortable. The ride winds its way down to Hoover’s Café. The ride then concludes by traveling back up along the Sevier River on the old railroad grade to Marysvale. This ride is rated for “Beginners” except for the optional ride up the Iron Mountain Switchbacks and allows up to 30 machines. This ride is about 30 miles.
#08 - Couples Special

The route will take riders up beautiful Deer Creek Canyon along trail #74 to the main Paiute #01 trail, then on to the summit where you’ll cross the Tushars at near 11,500 feet above sea level. This is well above timberline and is the highest point on the Paiute Trail. Keep your eyes open for mountain goats and other wildlife. On a clear day you can look west into Nevada. Then on to Big Johns Flat for a special lunch. The ride will double back along the #01 and then down into Marysvale. This ride is rated as "Intermediate" and allows for 40 machines. About 50 miles for this ride.
#09 - Kimberly Ghost Town
This ride begins at the Marysvale City Park. From there, the ride crosses the Sevier River and comes out at the Big Rock Candy Mountain - made famous by the Burl Ives song of the same name. We will take a short break where you can learn the history of the area and visit the gift shop. Continuing on, we will pass through the old town site of Winkleman and Hoovers and up trail #74 to trail #01 and a stop at the Silver King Mine. The ride continues down through the old Kimberly Ghost Town (only remnants of the old school house and mill are left) making a loop that comes back up the mountain on the Beaver Creek (02) trail back down to Marysvale. The ride is rated “Intermediate” with two rough sections and allows up to 30 machines. The ride is approximately 45 miles.
#10 - Big Rock Candy Mountain
This ride will leave the Marysvale City Park. How do the words to that old Burl Ives song go? Something about lemonade springs and the Big Rock Candy Mountain. Well this is the mountain that inspired the song and this ride will allow you to see it from angles that few people do. Bring your camera. Lunch will be at Big Rock Candy Mountain. The first half of this ride will explore the Silver King Mine and the story of Brigham Darger and his bride Pansy. This is an "Intermediate" ride and will cover 35-40 miles. Travel #68 southerly a short distance and then take Forest Service road 076 down southeasterly till it merges with #01 and on to Koosharem.
